Linda Davies Gage---acrylic
We are excited to welcome Linda, "a ranch wife who paints" from Jordan Valley,as a new member of the Nampa Art Guild. An award winning acrylic painter, Linda shows and sells her painting throughout seven wester states. Linda "strives always to become a better painter and teacher, continuing to push the limits of expressionistic color-use with exciting color temperature changes."
Learn how to produce a beginner level Western scene with a vivid landscape that makes use of contrasts and bold color choices.
For this workshop I will use 4.65-oz. size Blick Artists Acrylics---professional grade at an affordable price---and those I list are highly lightfast. Their 2-oz. size is ample if you’re only “trying out acrylic painting”. I’ve given product numbers and prices for each size. Online at DickBlick.com or call 1-800-828-4548. Free shipping on orders of $59 or more. We’ll mix/paint from a split-primaries color palette, so it’s crucial you have the equivalent of the 7 colors I list. If you currently paint in acrylics, you may already have some/all the colors needed for this workshop, in other brands. You may certainly use what you have, as long as you know they are not dried out and you’re sure you have one tube each:
